Dolby Atmos Speakers

Dolby Atmos Speakers

Overhead ceiling speakers are the foundation of any Dolby Atmos home cinema system. Using ceiling speakers for Dolby Atmos channels delivers a fully immersive, three-dimensional audio experience, similar to what you hear in modern movie theatres. These ceiling speakers are engineered to provide excellent sound dispersion for 2- or 4-channel Atmos configurations, ensuring consistent audio quality throughout your room.

"Dolby Atmos has reinvented how entertainment is created and experienced, allowing creators to place each sound exactly where they want it to go. Whether you’re gaming, watching films or TV series, or listening to music, Dolby Atmos draws you in deeper so you hear more and feel more." – dolby.com

Ceiling speakers for Dolby Atmos are increasingly popular with streaming services, home cinemas, and gaming setups. While angled Atmos speakers can reduce installation time, the most authentic experience comes from downward-firing ceiling speakers—often called the “voice-of-God channel.”

Optimising Your Ceiling Speaker Layout for Dolby Atmos

  • In a 5.1.2 or 7.1.2 system with two Atmos channels, place your ceiling speakers forward of the listening position.
  • In a 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 system with four Atmos channels, one pair of ceiling speakers goes forward of the listening position, and one pair behind, but in front of the rear surround speakers.
