Description:

Unique in concept and revolutionary in design, the Theatre In Motion Experience (TIME) is the most recent development of the ceiling speaker design.

The success of the original TIME product has resulted in the development of three smaller versions that allow the TIME design to be incorporated into a wider variety of applications. The ability of the original TIME speakers’ to descend from the ceiling as well as the ability of the speakers to focus the sound directly at any listening area, both still remain. But unlike the original TIME speakers, the vertical angle is fixed at 45º and the rotation & direction of the drivers is set manually during installation.

When retracted and not in use, these speakers lie flush with the under-surface of the ceiling. They are then activated (via the Controller, available separately) by infra-red, signal sensing, RS232, or contact closure (trigger), and drop down into the room.

Each model features up to 340º of rotation, ensuring that virtually any location can be targeted. Once the setup adjustments have been made, the system simply descends from and retracts into the ceiling when desired.

The flat surface can be easily painted to allow the speakers to blend seamlessly into a room when not in use.

Using advanced micro-motor technology, the operation of the speakers is whisper quiet.

All this makes the TIME speaker both an In-Ceiling and In-Room loudspeaker in the same ingenious package.

Time Speakers require a dedicated control unit that can handle up to 8 Time Mini loudspeakers, allowing for stereo, and 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 home cinema surround systems.

Connections for power and control are made with standard CAT5 cable and RJ45 termination. The speakers themselves are powered by a standard amplifier via standard speaker wire.
